GI For Kids

We were pleased to provide the construction services of the new GI for Kids flagship facility in Knoxville. This project consisted of extensive site work, slab on grade, structural steel, exterior metal panels, brick masonry, TPO roofing, and state-of-the-art interior finishes and MEP systems. The building went through several design revisions during construction, including the addition of a second floor after the first-floor structural steel was in place. However, despite the various design revisions, and the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to deliver this project ahead of schedule.

In addition to our responsibilities as general contractor over the project, we provided various value-engineering services for the client and design team. Through our efforts in reviewing material and service options during the project, we were able to save the client significant money in construction costs.

No client wants a project full of surprises or unforeseen expenses. Unfortunately, that seems to be the norm lately in many projects. However, our project team is experienced in adapting to and overcoming these circumstances.
